Heb 11:6
Some people prefer to be taken by the wind. When bikers dress up, they have the intention of going against it. Sometimes, I may be like one. I remember once when I got into a cycling accident. My face was bleeding all over as I passed in and out of consciousness. I had to walk like a cripple for some time.
That experience taught me to throw away my imaginary crutches. During the moments after the crash, I felt the fragility of life. It was such a shame that the event wasn’t enough to fully wake me up. It helped a great deal though.
Lissa once mentioned that her previous job had a great tendency to leave her exhausted. She had to do a lot of busywork. Some things are done for the experience.
Now, when I’m with her, she’s always smiling. It’s really pleasant being around her. I don’t think she’s any less busy. Maybe she just found her calling.
